Owain Glyndwr and the Battle of Pilleth​

Another 'First' for the Society as Dr. Jones (formerly of this area, now at San Jose University) spoke to us from California via Zoom, with one audience in Yr Hen Lys and another in 35 homes! We did our best with the technology though there are some brief interruptions to the sound on the video recording - after all it was coming from 5,000 miles away.

Dr. Jones gave a brilliantly detailed talk on how Owain Glyndwr rose to become a national leader, and how his campaign led to the little-known but , at the time, significant military action at Pilleth, also known as Bryn  Glas.
